6/25/10 APA Librarians visit the Library of Congress

The Asian Pacific American Librarians Assoc. (APALA) was in WDC for the American Library Association's annual conference, and to celebrate APALA's 30th anniversary.

The 2010 Smithsonian Institution Folklife Festival featured Asian Pacific Americans in the Washington metropolitan area.  Rita Cacas spoke about early 20th century DC Filipinos covered in her book, "Images in America: Filipinos in Washington DC."
